Lykos Half Marathon - 2026

Are you ready to run through one of Turkiye’s most breathtaking landscapes?
The Lykos Half Marathon offers a route where history and nature merge, nestled between UNESCO World Heritage travertine terraces and the ancient city of Hierapolis. This is not just a race; it's an unforgettable running experience.

Register Event
The race track has ups and downs due to the structure of Pamukkale and the Ancient City of Hierapolis. There are direction umpires, lanes and signs in the necessary places along the entire course. You can complete the race by following the signs related to your own track. All the tracks have the last 2 km of cobblestones (paving stones) inside the Ancient City. The remaining parts of all the tracks are made of asphalt, it is recommended to choose shoes suitable for road running. The net length of the track is 21.0975 km. Except for the last 2 km of this route, which has ups and downs, the entire route consists of an asphalt road. The last 2km consists of cobblestone (paving) stones within the Ancient City. It is recommended to use sports shoes that you use for road races, and the use of trail shoes is not recommended.

Pamukkale travertines,
Denizli boasts one of the world's most striking natural heritage sites, with its pristine white terraces formed by hot, calcium-rich waters. This UNESCO-protected region offers both a visually stunning and therapeutic travel experience with its deep blue thermal pools. Its expansive plateau provides an inspiring environment for running, while the thermal waters offer a natural recovery area for athletes.

Hierapolis Ancient City,
Located behind the Pamukkale travertines, this is a historical settlement known as a healing center during the Roman period. It is notable for its theater, baths, and ancient pool. Furthermore, the final 2 km of the race passes through these ancient structures, offering athletes a unique finish experience.

Denizli cuisine,
It blends the gentle texture of the Aegean with the authentic flavors of Anatolia. Dishes prepared with natural and local products, such as tandoor-cooked meat, Denizli kebab, keşkek (a type of stew), tirit (a soup), dried tarhana (a soup base), and rice with chickpeas, add a delightful gastronomic experience to visits to the city — you absolutely must try them!
